Widji Ranch | Overnight Ranch Camp
Widji Ranch is our signature overnight ranch camp for young equestrians looking for a week-long overnight experience! Widji Ranch Campers are the heart and soul of our equestrian center! Campers in this program start the week with a riding assessment to match each rider with a horse that matches their riding ability. Riders will spend the week riding and working with the same horse and creating a bond built on trust. Each day, campers have daily riding lessons with their horse that include fundamental horsemanship skills such as stopping, starting and steering, as well as pattern work and trotting.
Outside the arena, Overnight Ranch Campers play an integral part of the Widji Ranch helping with chores, leading horses, horse care, grooming and tacking, and assisting our instructors in preparing for riding and ground lessons. Riders are placed in groups based on an assessment of their current riding skills, but all levels of experience are welcome!
